Bynea District Forum

Description: To improve the environment of the Bynea district and to encourage the provision of suitable facilities for the social and recreational needs of the community.

Carnifal Pum Heol A'r Cylch

Description: Hosts an annual carnival in order to support community activity, access and participation in Cynheidre, Five Roads, Horeb and Sylen; increase skills & creativity; improve quality of life; encourage goodwill and involvement of the wider community; foster community spirit.

Llwynhendy and Pemberton Forum

Description: Group set up to help charitable causes with in the communities of Pemberton and Llwynhendy. The group looks to carry out different projects on behalf of the community. The group meets once a month at Bryn & TrallwmSocial Club.

CETMA

 

Description: We are a social enterprise which provides training, social engagement, health and well-being through the development of unique sustainable projects which are all volunteer led such as:

  • PC3Rs: Recycle, Renew and Refurbish
  • Free Books Llanelli: Recycling books for the local community
  • Llanelli LGBT Support Group; Coffee Mornings First Friday of every month
  • Don’t Panic Support Group: Coffee Morning Second Friday of every month
  • Wales Wildlife Watch: encourage the people of Wales to get outside and get enthusiastic about nature and wildlife!
  • Kit and Nat:  Share your knitting and Crochet with people of all ages

Crafty Seniors

Description: Knitting group which meet every Monday in Llwynhendy Library  between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. We are looking for more knitters to join our group.

Create Me Happy Cuppa Club

Coffee mornings for those feeling socially isolated or lonely. Also peer support for those struggling with mild to moderate mental ill health.

Venue & Times: Pontiets Tenants Resource Centre. Thursdays, term time 10-12

Create Me Happy Lego Club

Family group encouraging family play in a supportive and signposting space for those families affected by parental mental ill health, though we welcome all families outside of that criteria also.

Venue & Times: Pontiets Tenants Resource Centre. £1.50 or 2 Time Credits. 11-1. Third Saturday of the month. All children must be accompanied.

Dafen Welfare Bowls Club

Description. Our aim is to promote, encourage people of all ages to come to play the game of flat green bowls- presently we have just a senior men’s team but would really like to expand it to children/youth and especially women. Coaching is free and available for all newcomers.

Five Roads and District Heritage Society

Description: Embracing Cynheidre, Horeb, Five Roads and Sylen, our activities include: social events; research; publications; and meetings with guest speakers. Formed in 2011, we have achieved a lot: 3 books & a DVD; a war memorial and interpretive panel; a community website – all with support and funding from the local community, Heritage Lottery Fund, Llanelli Rural Council and TAD Builders Ltd. We meet in Five Roads Hall, the Stag Inn or the Waunwyllt Inn – check our online calendar for details. Llanelli Community Heritage

Description: To research and preserve information about Llanelli’s history, and to inform the public by installing Blue Plaques and Interpretation Panels, giving Lectures, writing Articles for website.

Llanelli Ramblers

Description: Since 1995 Llanelli Ramblers have been offering an annual spring bank holiday Walking Festival which has been attracting local people and visitors to participate in walking with Llanelli as the festival centre.

Llanelli Stamp Club

Description:  Small group of stamp and postcard collectors who try to promote the collecting of stamps etc within the Llanelli area. The club have regular guest speakers, displays, visits with other local clubs and stamp dealers attend a couple of times a year. The club is open to anyone and meet at Dafen Welfare Hall every first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 – 9:00 pm except for June, July and August when they meet on the first Tuesday of the month only.
