Governance

Llanelli Rural Council is a public body and ensures its Members and Officers are responsible for the conduct of public business and for spending public money.

The Council has proper arrangements in place for the governance of its affairs and the stewardship of the resources at its disposal.

As a safeguard, external auditors give an independent opinion on the Council’s accounting statements.

The Council has a framework in place to meet legislative requirements.

This section consists of the Council’s current policy framework. It provides information about the Council’s core strategies, plans and schemes which have been approved and adopted by it, whether required by statute or otherwise, relating to the services which it aims to provide to the public. This section also contains general information which the Council routinely publishes from time to time in accordance with its Publication Scheme.
