Precept for 2010/11 - 04/03/2010
Llanelli Rural Council has confirmed that there will be no increase in the Authority’s ‘Band D’ Council Tax for the next financial year. The charge per ‘Band D’ property will be £120.77 as in 2009/10. There have been no cuts to services provided but in order to maintain the status quo several new growth items have been deleted from the budget because of the current economic climate.
The provision of new changing rooms in Felinfoel will commence in the next few months. A partnership agreement has been entered into with Communities First Felinfoel to also provide community facilities within the building.
The budget of £30,000 for the much in demand Community Development Fund has been retained. The Council’s joint partnerships with other authorities and organisations in providing the Christmas Carnival, Sports Development Officers and administering the Llanelli District Cemetery continue to play a significant role in service delivery.
